The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of marking the 75th anniversary of UNESCO, and on that occasion said that Serbia is very proud to belong to the UNESCO family.
Selaković underlined that our country has continuously contributed to the values and activities of UNESCO for decades, even though it has been a formal member since 2000.
"This membership has made a significant difference for Serbia, because UNESCO provides the institutional framework and is the custodian of our national, cultural and religious heritage, which is at the very core of the Serbian national being, such as the monasteries of Sopocani, Visoki Decani and Studenica", Minister Selaković pointed out in his congratulatory message.
